Thriving on the Big Stage: Wootanga Park at IDW

At Reid Stockfeeds, everything we do is driven by the success of our customers and the performance of their animals. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing that dedication come to life in the paddock—and on the big stage.

Events like International Dairy Week showcase not only the quality of livestock across the industry, but the passion, preparation and pride of the people behind them. We’re proud to play a small role in supporting producers like the Wootanga Park team, helping their cattle look, perform and thrive at the highest level.

Here’s a look at their outstanding week at International Dairy Week 2026.

International Dairy Week 2026 was an incredible week for the Wootanga Park team. There is always a huge amount of preparation that goes into the show, and it was fantastic to see the cattle and team perform so well throughout the week.

A highlight of the show for us was Impression Diamondblack Daphne, who had an outstanding week in the ring as a heifer in milk. Daphne won her Youth class as the youngest heifer in the class by six months and just two weeks fresh, before going on to be named Reserve Champion Heifer of the Youth Show and receiving Honourable Mention Grand Champion of the Youth Show.

She later capped off the week in the Holstein ring, placing 5th in the Milking Yearling class, a result we were incredibly proud of given she was around four months younger than much of the competition and only recently fresh.

The Youth Show was a great start to the week for the team:

  • Cherrylock Lambda Chassity-ET, shown by Becky Hynes, placed 5th in a strong class.
  • Wootanga Park RM Firecracker-ET, led by Chloe Sargent, placed 8th.
  • Wootanga Park Aldo Lola won her class.

We also had a fantastic achievement in the showmanship ring, with Becky Hynes winning Intermediate Showmanship for the third consecutive year. With International Dairy Week introducing a Grand Champion Showman title for the first time, Becky went on to claim that honour as well.

The milking classes, fueled by Reid Stockfeeds, delivered some strong results across multiple breeds.

In the Brown Swiss ring:

  • Wootanga Park Aldo Fran placed 3rd in a large and competitive class.
  • Wootanga Park Aldo Lola won her class and went on to be named Reserve Junior Champion.
  • Balgarre Cadence Fran placed 3rd in a strong six-year-old class, also just two weeks fresh.

In the Jersey ring:

  • Wootanga Park RM Firecracker-ET placed 7th in a competitive class.
  • Wootanga Park Victorious Puddle finished an impressive 4th.
  • Cairnbrae Promo Althea placed 7th in the six-year-old milker class.

The week concluded in the Holstein ring:

  • Wootanga Park Bloody Marvel-IMP ET – 8th
  • Cherrylock Lambda Chassity-ET – 6th
  • Impression Diamondblack Daphne – 5th in the Milking Yearling class.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of Reid Stockfeeds and the role your feed plays in helping our cattle look and perform their best, particularly in the milking classes.

Thank you again for backing the Wootanga Park team at International Dairy Week.

Kind regards,
Rachael McGrath
