Rose Messer

Site Manager, Camperdown

Time in Team: 14-years

I’ve built my career in transport and logistics within the agricultural space, starting in hands‑on coordination roles and eventually moving into senior operational leadership. Before joining Reids, I was General Manager of Operations at a bulk transport and import/export business, where I looked after overall performance across multiple teams—focusing on smoother workflows, better resource planning, heavily on compliance, and keeping day‑to‑day operations on track. A lot of my work involved improving systems, strengthening safety processes, and making operations more reliable and efficient.

Before stepping into leadership roles, I worked in frontline logistics roles, which gave me strong foundations in scheduling, fleet planning, people management, and practical problem‑solving. I also completed my MBA, which helped me grow my skills in strategic operations and communication. I’m passionate about building safe, efficient operations and supporting teams to do their best work.

As Site Manager at the Camperdown Mill, I’m responsible for daily production, safety, and quality. I manage the team, coordinate workflow, keep an eye on inventory and raw materials, and make sure we stay compliant with all safety and regulatory requirements. The role is very hands‑on—lots of problem‑solving, maintenance coordination, and making sure the mill runs smoothly and hits production targets.
