Reid Stockfeeds are offering a 3 month industry Summer placement for University students studying (or who have studied) an Agricultural related degree and hold a strong interest in the betterment of animal livestock feeding.
During this exciting 3 month program students will learn about animal nutrition across the stockfeed industry. Participants learn about a career as an animal nutritionist with hands on practical exposure to formulating rations and all aspects of the industry, encouraging them to see it as a place where innovative leaders make their careers using the latest technologies. The program emphasises leadership in all aspects of the industry and gives students’ opportunities to develop and display leadership skills.
The student is required to have a current drivers licence as they will be placed with Nutritional Sales Representatives and will assist with group meetings, animal nutrition assessments and visiting farms.
Three positions are available across our regional, Victorian bases. At Reid’s we value self-motivated team members who work equally well on an individual basis as they do in group situations. We are seeking people with a great passion for learning and advising farmers on techniques to better feeding practices. A high degree of expectation is had in our team developing strong relationships with our farmers in both a nutritional and service sense. Aside from these obvious qualities candidates need to enjoy a social environment where networking both within the company and industry is actively encouraged.
The program will run between December 2016 and March 2017.
Students are required to fund their own transport and accommodation costs during the industry placement and are required to organise this themselves, if this is required.
Students will be paid for the time they work at Reid Stockfeeds on a weekly basis.
Placements can be made at the following web page. Applications close this Friday, September 16.
