What’s Collingwood got to do with receiving a Stockfeed Manufacturers’ Association of Victoria (SFMAV) Life Membership? Not much and plenty apparently.
Since 1984 Ian, together with wife Rosli, have owned and run Reid Stockfeeds. In 1994 Ian was asked to join the SFMAV committee and in 2000 became SFMAV Vice-President. Ian was instrumental in this time in gaining a national insurance program – what became known as FeedSafe – for the organisation, enabling millers who followed strict guidelines related to grain handling, the opportunity to properly insure their operations.
His support for QA (Feedsafe) was demonstrated by Reid Stockfeeds Colbinabbin Feed Mill being issued with #001 SFMCA Feedsafe on August 26th 2003.
The challenge to continually produce better systems and feed was reinforced in the early 2000s when the company followed up by passing the stringent testing for an SAI global, five tick, quality endorsed company.
Beyond this Ian showed great interest in employee training resources for feed manufacturers and in securing sponsors for the 2004 Australasian Milling Conference held in Melbourne.
Ian has provided 20-years active service as an SFMAV member and the broader industry during a period of industry growth and increased membership.[fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”] [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
