The Victorian Winter Fair will go ahead next year with co-organiser Stu Modra “blown away by the response.”
Attendees to the show held at the Prince of Wales Showground claimed its strength lay in holding all amenities under one roof; show-ring, stalls, exhibitors and catering.
The show was hosted by Holstein Australia and award divisions split across Junior, Intermediate and Supreme classes. Reid Stockfeeds sponsored Class 4 Autumn Calf Born After 1/4/14. Bluff Glen Meridian Suzie 2414, Sam Hill took out the award followed by Bluff Glen Holsteins and Rowlands Park Braxton Chevy.
Supreme Champion was bestowed upon the Gleeson family, Holstein Elm Banks, Polly Wolly. According to owner Chris Gleeson the cow continues to develop two years on from winning International Dairy Week.
Thanks to Dom and Dan for setting up the Reid Stockfeeds stand and hosting it across the three-days and congratulations to the Winter Fair organising committee for putting on such a great first up event.
