Reid Stockfeeds is looking for an experienced, casual truck driver to join the team at their Trafalgar mill. Seeking casual truck driver for work as required. Have two weeks work available beginning Wednesday July 3. Suits semi-retired or retired driver looking to pick-up some work from time-to-time but open to all candidates.

Local stockfeed deliveries and general grain cartage in modern well maintained fleet. Tipper & B Double experience an advantage but not mandatory. Rotating roster with occasional weekend work.

SELECTION CRITERIA

FULL TIME RATE
8 hours: $23.32 (increasing from July 1)

The Role:

Based out of our Cobden Manufacturing Mill the role requires a trade qualified Diesel Mechanic experienced working in diesel workshops.

Working in a team your role will be required to maintain, service and repair trucks. These issues can be engine related, electrical or hydraulic problems.

This role will suit someone with a mechanical trade qualification who has a good knowledge of petrol and diesel engines, hydraulics and basic electrics. 

Person Requirements:

  • Proven record in repairs/servicing diesel vehicles, plant & earth moving equipment
  • Strong ability in fault finding & troubleshooting
  • Assist in developing the maintenance schedule
  • Able to diagnose issues
  • Good understanding of hydraulics & pneumatic problems
  • Current HR drivers licence
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Clean presentation
  • “Have a go” attitude & innovative, “hands-on” approach
