Lucas Jenkinson joined our team. Lucas is playing football this year for Yallourn North and already training hard. A first home purchase is also on the cards and an early nomination for 2016’s “best boyfriend” awards.

Addam Whitehead is back at work after breaking his leg in a back-yard incident.

Leanne’s eldest step-son Andrew won the Holden Scramble a major national golf event played in QLD this year. Out of interest, for his efforts he won a golf club, not a car.

Cookie is a Grandpa with two new Grandchildren; Mia and a new grandson Beau. He has nothing worthwhile to report on the golf course.

Our own version of Jimmy Stynes, Steve Madden played in the Colbo two’s flag back in September. Sadly he is heading home to Ireland on Feb 18 while he applies for permanent citizenship. He has been with us five years and is always an entertaining chat. He will be sorely missed but we wish him all the very best.

Colbinabbin site manager, Jeff Wilson celebrated 20-years with the company. Rob is working on acquiring a fairy floss machine to commemorate the occasion and getting his $17.00 back (whatever that means?) Thank-you Jeff for your loyalty and hard-work over such a long period.

The Christmas party was a huge success with well over 30 attending and a great night had by all in Bendigo, although disappointing not to see any Saturday Night fever shenanigans from Marcus. Thank-you to all who turned out for it.

Michael Gibson competed in Spartan Racing (do a web search on ) he has completed this year in:-

  1. 2 Trifectas  made up of 3 races in each trifecta – each race being a 1 X 7kl, 1 X14kl & 1 X 21kl
  2. 1 Sprint

3.      12 hour Geelong Spartan race

A top effort in anyone’s estimate and goes to show his grit and determination.



Trevor Gardner won the Cobden Shield at golf club – best two rounds from three played.

Murray Williamson is now playing bowls in a twilight competition and will play Pennant for Colac next season.

Mark Walsh is helping his family with speed way racing.
